American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and ICU background.

Step-Down/PCU unit within a 332-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Floating required within scope to meet facility needs across all 3 affiliated campuses within approximately 20 miles
-
Charting system: Epic (proficiency level 3 or 4 required)

Block scheduling is not available for this position
-
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Active FL or Compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of PCU/Step-Down experience required; ICU experience also required

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start

Epic EMR proficiency at a level 3 or 4 required
-
Familiarity with cardiac drips required

Must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) is required

Two professional references required for consideration

Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Care for step-down/PCU patients requiring telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management
-
Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly upon assignment confirmation

White scrubs required
