Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down position requiring cardiac and surgical experience, with a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Step-down unit in a hospital setting
• Surgical and cath lab patient population
• Experience with chest tubes, epicardial wires, and sheath/radial band management required
• Familiarity with cardiac drips (Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, etc.) required
• Patient ratio is 4:1 on days and 4-5:1 on nights
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate cardiac dysrhythmia competency through a required assessment exam
