American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and LTC/SNF experience for a 13-week travel contract at a long-term acute care facility in Hondo, TX.

Long-term care (LTC) facility with a short-term rehabilitation unit

75-bed community care center

Treats patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

EMR: Restore

Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts; start time must be between 6AM and 10AM, consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
-
No weekend or on-call requirements

40 hours per week

Active Texas SLP license required; license required if applicable

Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required

Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
-
LTC or SNF setting experience required
-
New graduates may be considered provided they have completed a Level II clinical experience (not Level I observation only)

3 years of experience holding an active CCC preferred

1 reference required for consideration

License and certifications must be active at time of consideration

Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice standards
-
Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
-
Monitors and documents patient progress, adjusts treatment plans, and evaluates outcomes in the electronic documentation system (Restore)
-
Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
-
Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
-
May supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists

Adheres to ASHA standards, state practice acts, and professional ethics
-
Maximum of 7 days of RTO may be requested for the contract period
