Description

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience, including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics, for a hospital OR position in Atlanta, GA.

Details

• Hospital OR setting supporting a wide range of service lines including Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Floating within the facility to other areas within scope of practice, including Outpatient, as needed
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience required — this is a hard stop requirement
• Required experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics — these are hard stop requirements
• BLS certification required
• GA or Compact RN license required if applicable — must be active and in hand at time of consideration
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must have been away from this facility system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
• Holiday coverage is expected — if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate shifts or special schedule requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred at time of consideration
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates undergo a clinical review to assess fit before being forwarded to the hiring manager for a final decision
