Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of ultrasound experience for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT or ARDMS certification and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Full-time hospital-based ultrasound department position
  • Patient population spans all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • 4x10-hour day shifts
  • 40 hours per week

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required
  • Active ARRT or ARDMS registry required; ARDMS candidates must have successfully completed one registry beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, or vascular)
  • Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association required; must not expire prior to assignment start
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • English fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) required
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull, stand, sit, use manual dexterity, and perform other physical tasks as required by the role
  • License required if applicable
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis
  • Responsible for proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams
  • Must demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department and follow ACR guidelines
  • Follows appropriate protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, documentation, and QC compliance
  • Adheres to safety practices including body substance protection, equipment cleaning, sterile techniques, and removal of expired materials
  • Completes all required documentation including time stamps and image storage
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
