American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of ultrasound experience for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT or ARDMS certification and Epic proficiency.

Full-time hospital-based ultrasound department position

Patient population spans all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

4x10-hour day shifts

40 hours per week

Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required

Active ARRT or ARDMS registry required; ARDMS candidates must have successfully completed one registry beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, or vascular)

Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association required; must not expire prior to assignment start

Epic EMR experience required

English fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) required

Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull, stand, sit, use manual dexterity, and perform other physical tasks as required by the role

License required if applicable

Performs ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis

Responsible for proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams

Must demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department and follow ACR guidelines

Follows appropriate protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, documentation, and QC compliance

Adheres to safety practices including body substance protection, equipment cleaning, sterile techniques, and removal of expired materials

Completes all required documentation including time stamps and image storage

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
