Traveling Sports Photographer

Are you a sports photographer looking to expand your portfolio, travel, and learn the ways of sports photography? Look no further as Glossy Finish is the home for you. We are a youth sports photography company that "Captures Moments and Creates Memories" for players and families alike. We are looking for photographers to travel to photograph sporting events. Traveling with a reliable vehicle is a requirement.

Starting pay is $20/hour based on experience + travel if you are not local.

Below is a list of our remote events. Please make sure to identify which event(s) you can attend.

Babe Ruth World Series 16u-18u. Branson, MO. July 27th - August 4th.

Cal Ripken World Series 12u-16u. Branson, MO. August 5th - August 15th.

Cal Ripken World Series 11u. Crown Point, IN. August 6th - August 15th.

Babe Ruth World Series Softball. Florence, AL. July 24th - August 1st.

Cal Ripken World Series 8u. Florence, AL. August 2nd - August 7th.

Phenom America Basketball. Long Beach, CA. July 22nd - August 22nd.

Cal Ripken World Series 8u. Marlton, NJ. August 17th - August 22nd.

Baseball for All. Rockford, IL. July 19th - July 25th.

Ripken Lakefront. Sandusky, OH. June 21st - June 26th.

All Ripken Baseball. Sandusky, OH. June 27th - June 30th.

Ripken Bayshore. Sandusky, OH. July 5th - July 10th.

All Ripken Softball. Sandusky, OH. August 20th - August 23rd.

Cal Ripken 10u. Stafford, VA. August 6th - August 15th.

Responsibilities:

Capture high-quality images: Photograph youth sporting events, capturing the action, emotion, and spirit of the athletes. Take individual and team portraits, highlighting the athletes' accomplishments and personalities.
Maintain professional equipment: Ensure all photography equipment is in excellent working condition and up-to-date, and report any damages.
Build relationships: Establish positive relationships with clients, including parents, coaches, league officials, athletes, and the Glossy Finish team.
Market services: Promote photography services through online portfolios, social media, and networking with youth sports organizations.
Stay current with trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest photography techniques and technologies in the youth sports photography industry.

Qualifications:

Reliable transportation (Required): Access to reliable transportation to travel to various sporting venues. Across state lines if needed. (mileage, flights, and housing provided)
Photography skills: Demonstrated expertise in sports photography with a strong portfolio showcasing youth sports images.
Knowledge of youth sports: Understanding of various youth sports, including rules, strategies, and key moments for capturing compelling photographs.
Excellent interpersonal skills: Ability to interact effectively with children, parents, coaches, and league officials.
Patience and flexibility: Willingness to work with young athletes of varying ages and skill levels, and adapt to changing game situations.
Strong work ethic: Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, to cover sporting events.
Business acumen: Knowledge of sales and marketing principles to effectively promote and sell photography services.

Additional Considerations:

Passion for youth sports: A genuine enthusiasm for working with young athletes and photographing their sporting experiences.
Background check: Successful completion of a background check, as required for working with children.
