Treasury Management Relationship Manager

Job Summary:
The Treasury Management Relationship Manager (TRM) is responsible for driving deposit and fee growth by
developing and executing a strategic Treasury & Liquidity plan tailored to their line of business (LOB) or market.
This role requires deep industry expertise, strong business development acumen, and a proactive approach to
portfolio management. The TRM will collaborate closely with internal partners to ensure high engagement and
deliver exceptional client experiences from prospecting through onboarding.

Primary Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are some of the duties that may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that
the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as
assigned.
Ability to achieve and manage a group of Treasury Management Sales Officers to successfully achieve the following
responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates deep industry knowledge, either through direct experience or extensive client engagement
  • Maintains strong industry networks and participates in relevant associations and events.
  • Keeps current with industry-specific technologies and trends.
  • Capable of engaging in strategic conversations with stakeholders from CFO to Technology leadership.
  • Fully accountable for TM revenue and deposit growth aligned with financial objectives.
  • Actively monitors portfolio performance and identifies revenue levers.
  • Maintains accurate and timely CRM data to support activity tracking and forecasting.
  • Proactively addresses performance gaps and implements corrective actions.
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive annual business plan for the supported LOB or market.
  • Aligns strategy with broader organizational goals and identifies high-impact growth opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Product, Sales, and LOB leaders to drive innovation and enhancements.
  • Business plan includes SWOT analysis, targeted growth tactics, and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Builds and maintains excellent rapport with Market Heads, Group Managers, and Relationship Managers.
  • Conducts regular one-on-one meetings and activity reviews.
  • Participates in client planning and adjusts tactics based on market shifts and priorities.
  • Dedicates at least 75% of time to business development activities.
  • Partners with Commercial RMs, CRA Officers, and Market Presidents to generate leads.
  • Independently drives new business and manages the full client lifecycle.
  • Maintains aggressive calling efforts, pipeline oversight, and responsiveness.
  • Monitors portfolio trends including gainers/decliners, pricing events, and retention risks.
  • Manages credit exits and service impacts to ensure portfolio stability and growth.
  • Maintains high competency in specialized LOBs (e.g., CRE, C&I).
  • Stays fluent in all bank solutions and attends relevant educational events.
  • Expands professional network and leverages peer learning.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
  • At least 7 years of Treasury Management or Financial Sales/Consulting experience.
  • Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, planning skills and customer skills
Computer and Office Equipment Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
