As a Tree Climber, you'll be responsible for safely navigating and working at heights to prune, trim, and care for trees. Your expertise will help ensure the safety of both people and property while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. Duties

• Safely ascend and work within trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and safety protocols
• Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal to promote tree health and safety
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently
• Use rigging equipment to secure branches or limbs during removal or trimming processes
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and general pruning to enhance overall site appearance
• Apply knowledge of horticulture principles to assess tree health and recommend appropriate care strategies
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including GIS (Geographic Information System) data when applicable

Experience

• Proven experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture with growing expertise in arboriculture practices
• Familiarity with rigging techniques for safe branch removal and tree climbing safety standards
• Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other landscaping machinery
• Knowledge of GIS tools for mapping or site planning is a plus
• Strong understanding of tree trimming, pruning, and land management best practices
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while adhering to safety guidelines
• Prior experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or land management is advantageous

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
