Triage RN

Oakdale ObGyn is seeking a Triage Registered Nurse to independently manage incoming patient calls and emails and to provide medical advice using protocols and algorithms within the scope of the RN license. This individual is a liaison between providers and their patients, communicating patient concerns, test results and treatment plans.

This position is remote, following an approximate 90-day on-site training period in our Blaine and Maple Grove locations. Occassional on-site work may be needed, approximately 4x per year. The hours for this postion are 8:30am-5:00pm M-F.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage incoming patient calls and emails, and walk-ins requesting heath services
• Evaluate and assess patient health care needs
• Obtain appropriate input and direction from provider to determine best clinical plan
• Accurately document complaint/symptom(s), assessment and plan provided.
• Follow policies, procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and compliance
• Manage prescription refills

Physical Demands

• Requires sitting, viewing a computer screen, talking on the phone and typing on a keyboard for extended periods of time.
• If on-site, bending, stretching and ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Work and Education Qualifications:

• Completion of an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing is required
• Current Minnesota unrestricted RN license is required
• 2 years RN experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.09 - $48.82 per hour
