Trim Carpenter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Trim Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing interior and exterior trim components to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise in carpentry, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools will be essential in delivering high-quality craftsmanship on time and within scope. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.

Duties

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install trim such as baseboards, crown molding, window casings, door frames, wainscoting, and other decorative woodwork with accuracy and efficiency
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications for trim installation and fabrication
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, or applying finishing materials to ensure smooth and professional results
• Use hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (e.g., drills, nail guns) safely to complete tasks effectively
• Collaborate with project managers, framers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate work sequences on construction sites
• Perform heavy lifting when required for handling materials such as lumber or drywall components
• Assist in restoration projects involving water damage remediation, stucco repair, siding replacement or other industry-specific tasks

Experience

• Proven experience in trim carpentry within construction or restoration industries
• Strong knowledge of construction processes related to material needs for trim installation
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately
• Skilled in using a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Prior work on construction sites involving cabinetry is preferred
• Must have handtools and reliable transportation
