Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled senior lead art and decorations installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be traveling around Harris county, Montgomery county, and the surrounding areas to the north of Houston installing, and hanging interior decor of all types. Some will require working on ladders and scaffolding at heights that exceed 18 feet. Your expertise will help transform spaces by adding detailed decorative elements that enhance the overall finished aesthetic appeal and functionality. Duties
- Measure, and install various types of artwork and home decore according to project specifications prepare and install
- Read blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate placement and alignment of trim pieces and with assembly using proper componenents
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations with precision. Most work is completed with hand tools, reading tape measures and being able to convert fractions into decimals and visa/versa is a must.
- Prepare surfaces by performing tasks such as site survey seeking obstructions, possible hazards or abnormalities. Plotting and dimensioning for accurate spacing and placement of art.
- A clear understanding of symmetry is helpful
- Ability to collaborate with team members to coordinate installation schedules and troubleshoot issues on-site
- Perform heavy lifting of materials (100 pounds or more occassionally)
- Conduct quality inspections to verify that our standards and client expectations are achieved
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction trim or finish carpentry, frame carpentry, or related fields within the construction or restoration industry
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, stucco application, and fixture mounting
- General understanding of other trades such as framing, electrical, and plumbing, is very helpful not required
- Ability to perform heavy team lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation processes
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding project requirements as presented by our clients
- Valid experience working in commercial and residential environments with a focus on leaving the space better then it was found.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
