Truck Dispatcher

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the daily movement of freight and our growing fleet operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication hub between drivers and customers, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal utilization of resources. Your proactive approach will help streamline transportation planning, enhance supply chain efficiency, and uphold high standards of customer service. Duties

• Dispatch delivery based on customer orders and needs
• Monitor GPS data to track vehicle locations, troubleshoot delays, and adjust dispatch plans accordingly
• Input data accurately into transportation management systems, including freight details, shipping & receiving information, and fleet management records using data entry skills
• Manage shipping documentation and coordinate freight pickup/delivery schedules in collaboration with warehouse teams
• Utilize analysis skills to assess transportation performance metrics, and implement improvements
• Bid on available lanes
• Utilize DAT to acquire loads
• Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, incident reports, and inbound/outbound shipments for compliance and reporting purposes
• Support transportation planning efforts by analyzing supply chain data to enhance routing strategies and reduce costs
• Think critically and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Manage customer relationships and continue to grow the business
• Monitor road and routing conditions
• Respond to after-hours situations as they arise- this job requires 24 hr on call remotely.
