Truck Driver

We are looking for experienced CDL Class B Licensed delivery drivers who live in Long Island to make deliveries to the 5 Boroughs, Westchester, and of course Long Island. A clean driver's license is a must. Union wages, medical, dental, etc.
Again, we are looking for a driver who LIVES IN Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods to and from our wholesale distribution center located in New Hyde Park, NY.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Valid truck driving license
• Piggyback experience required
