Truck Driver Class A (local deliveries) Temporary Position

Enjoy driving but want to be home every night? Join our friendly, informal yet professional team. Big Creek Lumber Company, a leading supplier of lumber and building materials in central California, seeks a Class A Truck Driver to make local deliveries for our lumber yard in Vallejo.

Responsible for:

• Promptly and safely delivering lumber and building materials to customers
• Safely tie down of loads
• Safely rolling off loads; some manual unloading of materials may be involved
• Providing excellent customer service
• Assisting in building orders, yard clean up or other job-related tasks as needed

Requires:

• Current Class A California drivers license, medical certification and excellent driving record
• Ability to work effectively with others to obtain customer satisfaction and promote Big Creek's image in a positive way
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. from the ground into the bed of a standard size pick-up truck
• Ability to tie down loads and manually unload some material
• A high level of safety awareness
• Ability to read maps and find delivery sites in remote locations
• Skill in driving rural roads and making deliveries to remote construction sites.

Schedule: Mon-Sat; day shift
