Trucking Dispatcher

Outline of Duties and Responsibilities

The following is meant to provide a general overview of the essential job functions of the Dispatch position and is not necessarily a complete and exhaustive list. Your duties for this position will include:

· Daily utilization, firm knowledge and understanding of company Dispatching software system- MatHaul

· Make sure each and every Company Driver is on dispatch daily

· Track driver attendance, time-off requests and daily clock-in audit

· Follow the GPS System to ensure drivers are at the desired location; Keep drivers updated on any specifics that may be required by the Customer and/or Job Site

· Update drivers on any road closures, conditions and/or delays

· Ensure drivers are placed in proper trucks to ensure efficiency

· Maintain positive rapport with drivers and keep open lines of communication available for all necessary correspondence (attendance, dispatch changes, fleet availability, updated orders and operations/customer requests)

· Update dispatch as changes occur in real time. Correspond with drivers as needed for any follow-up and details associated with the route updates

· Make sure Drivers have their daily dispatch in a timely manner

· Track weekly shifts per drivers to ensure consistent scheduling

· Maintain strong lines of communication with Truck Boss and Safey Manager to ensure drivers are continuing to meet quality standards

· Build relationships with Project Managers and Job Site Foreman. Maintain updated contact list for this network for all necessary inquiries and needs

· Forge strong relationships with Carriers and Subhaulers

· Tags input Excel sheet

· Update active driver list as needed

· Keep Customers notified of any changes i.e., truck, driver and/or delays

· Note all issues in “Billing Memo” for the billing team

· Maintain an active knowledge of:

• ALL material types
• Truck/Trailers required for specific jobs (Doubles, Supers, End Dumps, Transfers, Walking Floors etc.)
• Tonnages
• Capacities for certain truck types

· Keep clear and adequate notes on Dispatch Sheets for any updates to specific jobs

· Maintain daily communication with Shop for all related truck issues, repairs, Red Tags etc.

· Maintain consistent communication with Company Plants to verify materials and quantities

· All additional duties assigned as needed.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
