As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable, organised and skilled CAD Designer using AutoCad/ Draftsight for the design and production of sheet metal.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer using AutoCad/ Draftsight for the design and production of sheet metal components and parts.

Having had experience with CNC sheet metal machinery. Namely programming, setting and operating Laser cutters and CNC press breaks.

Capable of working independently and as part of a small, dedicated team to produce high end products.

Effectively run and manage your own department within the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Programming components in CAD, 3D rendering.
• Efficiently nesting components for laser cutting using Radan
• Setting and operating Trumpf 5kw fibre laser with loader and nitrogen generation
• Setting and operating LVD PPEB press break to complete supply components for production assembly and welding.

Skills

• Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and handling techniques
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and setting machine parameters
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety standards
• This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to contribute their expertise within a professional manufacturing environment.

Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hour
