Job Title: Truss Designer

Location: Imperial, PA

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Truss Designer to enhance this team. This position will focus on creating detailed truss and wall placement plans, along with design drawings and quotes for residential projects. You will provide essential technical support to our division, ensuring smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive plans for wall, floor, and roof trusses, utilizing your expertise in interpreting blueprint designs for residential projects.
• Assess design specifications in accordance with blueprints and structural requirements to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
• Generate shop documentation that is streamlined for manufacturing efficiency, considering the equipment used in the process.
• Participate in a collaborative review process, evaluating fellow designers' work to minimize errors before production begins.
• Facilitate clear communication regarding technical design elements that may need clarification from architects or engineers, and maintain thorough records of these discussions using Excel and email documentation.
• Seek guidance from senior component technicians and management for complex design issues that require deeper analysis.
• Organize and manage your workflow to meet various productivity targets, whether daily, weekly, or project-related.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues; attend safety meetings and suggest improvements to current safety procedures as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in component design, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Proficient in MiTek software with Sapphire experience for 1+ years is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and materials.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
