Duties

• Develop detailed truss designs using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, and ArchiCAD to produce accurate schematics and construction drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design requirements and translate them into functional truss systems.
• Utilize tools like SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for system design, modeling, and visualization of truss structures.
• Prepare comprehensive schematics and technical documentation to facilitate manufacturing and on-site assembly processes.
• Review project specifications to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and client expectations.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings for accuracy, clarity, and completeness before submission.
• Assist in resolving design challenges by applying mechanical design principles and innovative drafting techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural or architectural drafting with a focus on truss or system design.
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (3ds Max), ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with SketchUp for conceptual modeling and Bluebeam for markup review.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, schematic development, and interior or mechanical design principles.
• Knowledge of graphic design and 2D animation techniques is a plus for visual presentations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents accurately.

Pay: From $52,561.07 per year
