Truss Designer Remote

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Truss Designer / Estimator to join our remote team. We’re looking for a self-motivated professional with a solid background in wood truss design, cost estimating, and construction documentation. This is a full-time opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects while collaborating virtually with engineers, sales teams, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design efficient and code-compliant roof and floor truss systems using Alpine software.
• Prepare precise material takeoffs, layouts, and cost estimates for each project.
• Review architectural and structural plans to ensure accurate and constructible designs.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and sales to deliver optimal project solutions.
• Identify and resolve potential design conflicts before production.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders to align expectations and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Alpine truss design software is required.
• Deep understanding of structural wood design principles, codes, and load paths.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• 2–4 years of truss design or estimating experience required.
• Technical coursework or degree in construction or engineering preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Work Location: Remote
