Tully Rinckey PLLC is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our growing Buffalo, New York office. We are actively hiring attorneys at the Associate, Senior Associate, and Partner levels with a strong background in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

Job Description
As a Trusts & Estates Attorney at Tully Rinckey PLLC, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel to individuals and families across a broad range of estate planning and estate administration matters. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and a client-centered approach to practice.
You will:
- Advise clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and related estate planning documents
- Represent clients in Surrogate’s Court proceedings and estate litigation matters
- Counsel clients on asset protection and long-term planning strategies
- Provide guidance on Medicaid planning and elder law matters (preferred)
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and trusted advocacy
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions
Senior Associate and Partner-level attorneys will also:
- Manage and grow an existing book of business
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to practice development initiatives
- Play an active role in expanding the firm’s Trusts & Estates presence in the Rochester market
What Are We Looking For- Minimum of 2 years of Trusts & Estates experience
- Experience advising clients on estate planning and probate matters
- Medicaid planning experience strongly preferred
- Strong drafting, litigation, and client communication skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admitted and in good standing to practice in New York State
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service
- Senior Associate and Partner candidates must have an existing book of business
Compensation & Benefits
Beginning January 1, 2026, newly admitted attorneys at Tully Rinckey PLLC receive a starting salary of $120,000, along with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses of up to 60% of base salary, rewarding productivity, excellence, and client impact.
