<div>Tully Rinckey PLLC, a successful full-service law firm with offices throughout the country is seeking a Partner Level and Associate Level attorneys to grow our Syracuse, New York office. 
 
This individual will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal issues that affect military personnel, including criminal defense, administrative procedures, and veterans&rsquo; benefits. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of military law, a passion for justice, and a commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate legal advocacy. 
 
Alternatively, candidates may also have Security Clearance experience dealing with military members, federal employees, defense contractors, and administrative law experience before the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals. This experience would include SF86 and SF85 document preparation and review, formulation of responses to Statement of Reasons, adjudication, hearings, and appeals before DOHA and other intelligence adjudicative agencies. 
 
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Provide legal representation to clients in courts-martial, administrative boards, discharge upgrades and other military tribunals.
</li><li>Advise military personnel on legal rights and obligations related to service.
</li><li>Assist in the preparation and filing of military appeals and petitions for relief.
</li><li>Represent clients in matters concerning veterans' benefits, including appeals in front of the VA (Veterans Administration).
</li><li>Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated with developments in military law and associated civilian legal impacts.
</li><li>Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff within the firm to ensure a cohesive approach to client cases.
</li><li>Educate and counsel clients on preventative measures to avoid legal issues related to military service.
</li></ul>Requirements
<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
</li><li>License to practice law in at least one US State Jurisdiction.
</li><li>Prior experience in military law or a strong interest and dedication to practicing in this area.
</li><li>Military service or familiarity with the military environment is highly advantageous.
</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
</li><li>Strong advocacy and courtroom skills, with a track record of ethical practice.

Compensation Levels 
 
Associate Level &ndash; $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 
Partner Level &ndash; $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 
 
Firm Overview and Benefits 
Tully Rinckey PLLC is a nationally recognized law firm known for its rapid growth, consistently earning a spot on the INC5000 list of America&rsquo;s fastest-growing companies. Recently, the firm made significant changes to employee compensation and benefits packages. Starting January 1, 2025, the base compensation for all first-year Attorneys has been increased to $110,000 per year, and higher starting base compensation for experienced attorneys with higher compensation being offered to Attorneys with experience and/or portable books. In addition, the firm will offer no-cost health insurance for basic plans, free dental and vision coverage, and a 6% matching contribution for 401(k) plans at 100%. After eighteen (18) months of full-time employment, attorneys will earn over six (6) weeks of paid time off. Job Description Overview 
As a Labor and Employment Attorney at Tully Rinckey, you will be responsible for providing quality legal advice, representing clients in disputes, and managing a wide range of labor and employment matters. The ideal candidate will have an interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government and New York private employment matters.
<ul><li>Provide legal representation to clients in labor disputes, employment discrimination cases, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related matters.
</li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
</li><li>Drafting pleadings, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive filings.
</li><li>Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.
</li><li>Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.
</li><li>Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.
</li><li><ul><li>Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.
</li></ul></li><li>Requirements:
</li><li>Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
</li><li>Licensed to practice law in at least one US State Jurisdiction (preferably New York) in good standing.
</li><li>Interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government.
</li><li>Understanding of state employment statutes, codes, and regulations.
</li><li>Litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
</li><li>Dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
