TURNER/LATHE MACHINE OPERATOR

We are hiring a skilled Turner / Lathe Machine Operator with the ability to operate multiple workshop machines including lathe, milling, shaping, bending, shearing, drilling and other fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate must have practical machining experience, strong knowledge of workshop tools, and the capability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate lathe machine for turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, knurling and related operations. Run additional workshop machines including: Milling Machine Shaping / Shaper Machine ,Bending Machine (Press / Hydraulic), Shearing / Cutting Machine, Drilling & Grinding Machines, Other general workshop equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, machining symbols and tolerances.
• Machine components such as shafts, bushes, flanges, rollers, pins, plates, couplings and custom fabricated parts.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other instruments.
• Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, feeds and materials for accurate machining.
• Perform daily machine maintenance: lubrication, alignment, tool sharpening and cleanliness.
• Ensure quality and dimensional precision as per QC requirements.
• Maintain production logs, job cards and machining output records.
• Follow HSE safety standards during operations and maintain a clean work environment. Required Skills & Competencies

• Ability to operate multiple machines independently (lathe, milling, shaping, bending, shearing).
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances, surface finishing & tool geometry.
• Hands-on knowledge of mild steel, alloy steel, SS & machining-grade materials.
• Familiar with fabrication workshop workflow, production priority and delivery deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving ability and precision-focused mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical/Industrial Certificate in Machining/Fitter/Turner trade.
• 3+ years experience operating lathe & other machines in a steel fabrication workshop.
• Ability to work efficiently under production schedules.
• UAE experience preferred but not mandatory.
