Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to join our team as a one-on-one Tutor, providing consistent, in-person academic support to a high school student in the Culver City area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys and contribute to their success.

Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Location: Culver City, CA
Schedule: Part-Time (Mornings)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College-level coursework preferred
• Experience supporting students with learning differences (dyslexia experience preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one academic support to a high school student in Math, English, and History
• Implement structured learning strategies with a focus on dyslexia intervention
• Support development of reading, writing, and word processing skills
• Assist with assignments, organization, and study habits
• Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed
• Foster a supportive, consistent, and engaging learning environment
