Qualification

• B.Sc Nursing
• Must be registered with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council (INC)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of clinical and/or teaching experience
• Experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Midwifery Nursing is mandatory

Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Support

• Assist in theory and practical teaching for Undergraduate Nursing students
• Conduct clinical demonstrations, bedside teaching, and skills lab sessions
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and clinical schedules
• Support faculty in evaluating assignments, clinical records, and internal assessments
• Guide students in obstetric and gynecological nursing care plans, case studies, and procedures

Clinical Responsibilities

• Supervise students during clinical postings in antenatal wards, labour rooms, postnatal wards, OTs, and community maternity settings
• Demonstrate standard obstetric and gynecological nursing procedures ensuring maternal and newborn safety
• Follow and enforce infection control and patient safety protocols

Administrative & Institutional Duties

• Maintain student attendance, clinical logbooks, and records
• Assist in academic and clinical documentation as per INC and University norms
• Participate in departmental meetings, examinations, and institutional activities
• Support accreditation, inspections, and quality assurance processes

Skills & Competencies

• Sound knowledge of Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Midwifery Nursing
• Good communication and teaching skills
• Ability to guide and motivate students
• Professional ethics and discipline
• Team-oriented approach

• Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Head of Department
