TX Licensed Dental Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental assisting techniques and a strong understanding of dental clinic operations. Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop dental imaging as required, ensuring high-quality results for patient assessments.
  • Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans.
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper storage and organization within the clinic.
  • Support general dentistry practices, including endodontics and four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Know how to assist various dental procedures, cleaning, SRPs, crowns, bridges, partial/complete dentures. implants, simple/surgical extractions, Invisalign, endo, pedo
  • Respect and listen to patients concerns. Have a warm and professional personality.
  • Come to work on time. Understand the value of team work.
  • Background check required. At least 2 years assisting experience minimum.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
  • Familiarity with endodontics and medical imaging systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
