UG Electrical Technician

Overview

Virtucruit is partnering with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia to appoint a UG Electrical Technician within the Maintenance Department.

This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in underground mining operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance. The successful candidate will troubleshoot electrical issues, carry out preventive maintenance, and support operational continuity of underground equipment and infrastructure.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained.
• Reads and understands HSE and environmental policies of the company and does job in accordance with these rules.
• Ensures all occupational health and security measures are in-placed at the maintenance work area.
• Identifies main rules to make UG electrical equipment's technical repair methods and ensure implementation.
• Performs electrical repairs and maintenance from drawings.
• Assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical systems and components of machinery and equipment.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Maintains electrical prints and documentation.
• Assists in the training of apprentices on procedures and safe electrical practices.
• Reports details of work completion.
• Attends electrical training sessions to keep up to date of equipment on site.
• Performs other duties as assigned by UG Electrical Supervisor.
• Supports the development and training of local nationals by providing mentorship, guidance and coaching, leading to their growth and development.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Technical Diploma / Vocational in Electrical or High School with equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years' experience in Underground Mine electrical maintenance.
• Good English communication skills (both oral and written).
