UI / UX Designer

UI/UX Designer (Contractual)

Kifayat Publishers, a leading educational publishing house dedicated to making world-class educational resources accessible to students and teachers in Pakistan, is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our development team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing digital interfaces that enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of our educational materials i.e. textbooks and digital platforms.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in UI/UX design roles (experience in edtech or publishing preferred).

· A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work for web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and refine user interfaces for Kifayat Publishers’ digital learning tools, platforms, and applications.

· Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools.

· Collaborate closely with the design, content, and web development team to ensure cohesive design execution across digital platforms

· Conduct usability testing and apply feedback to optimize user experience, also ensuring that all designs deliver seamless experiences across devices.

· Maintain consistency in design systems, typography, color schemes, and visual branding.

Skills:

· Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and responsive design methodologies.

· Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

· Skilled at developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly communicate functionality and layout.

· Familiarity with accessibility and usability standards in educational contexts.

· Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate feedback into design improvements.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
