UI/UX Designer

Job Description: UI/UX Designer (AgriTech App)

Role OverviewWe are building a multi-user platform (farmers, brokers, exporters, logistics partners) to simplify rice export operations. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who can design intuitive, simple, and multilingual-friendly mobile experiences for users with different digital backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• User Research & Understanding
• Understand user needs — from farmers with limited digital literacy to exporters handling complex logistics.
• Translate user journeys into easy-to-use app flows.
• Wireframing & Prototyping
• Create user flows and low/high-fidelity wireframes (Figma, Adobe XD, or Miro).
• Design prototypes for features like enquiries, payments, chat, and shipment tracking.
• Visual Design
• Define the app’s look and feel (colors, typography, icons, branding).
• Create a design system/UI kit for consistency across modules (enquiries, payments, logistics).
• Tools: Canva, Coolors, Figma.

• Information Architecture
• Organize screens and navigation for clarity (e.g., farmer’s app vs broker’s app vs exporter’s app).
• Ensure modular flows so new modules can be added easily.
• Usability Testing & Iteration
• Conduct usability tests with sample users.
• Optimize designs for mobile-first, multilingual, and low-data scenarios.
• Continuously improve based on feedback.
• Collaboration with Developers
• Work closely with Flutter developers for smooth handoff (Figma → code).
• Provide assets, style guides, and responsive design specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in UI/UX design for mobile-first apps (portfolio required).
• Hands-on experience with design tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Canva, Coolors, Miro.
• Strong understanding of mobile UX patterns (forms, lists, dashboards, chat, payments).
• Experience designing for multi-role apps (B2B/B2C platforms preferred).
• Knowledge of usability testing and ability to simplify flows for low-tech users.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with developers and business teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with agri-tech, fintech, or marketplace apps.
• Understanding of multilingual design (Indian languages).
• Knowledge of accessibility and designing for low-data/low-internet scenarios.
