Role Overview

The UI/UX Designer Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing visually engaging and user-friendly digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate combines creativity, technical expertise, and user empathy to bridge the gap between design and front-end development — ensuring a seamless, responsive, and accessible interface for end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and information architecture for digital products.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate business requirements into intuitive designs.
  • Design and maintain consistent UI components, style guides, and design systems.
  • Ensure responsive and accessible design across devices and platforms (web and mobile).
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Conduct design reviews and collect feedback to continuously improve user experience.
  • Apply best practices in interaction design, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Support A/B testing and analyze user behavior to optimize UI/UX performance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Design Tools: Figma, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator
Prototyping & Collaboration: Miro, FigJam, Zeplin, Marvel
Front-End Awareness: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React or Angular understanding preferred)
Frameworks: Material UI, Bootstrap, TailwindCSS
Analytics & Testing: Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel
Accessibility: Knowledge of WCAG standards and inclusive design principles

Soft Skills:

  • Strong visual design sense and attention to detail.
  • Empathy-driven approach to design and usability.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple design tasks in an agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • Certification in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, or Design Thinking (preferred).
  • Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects (mandatory for application).

Experience

  • Junior: 0–2 years – Supportive role in design execution and research.
  • Mid-Level: 2–5 years – Independent design ownership and collaboration with engineering.
  • Senior: 5+ years – Strategic design leadership and design system ownership.

  • User satisfaction and engagement metrics.
  • Design-to-development turnaround time.
  • Consistency and usability across all products.
  • Positive stakeholder and client feedback.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹7,500.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
