UI/UX Designer

Chameleon Ideas is hiring a UI/UX Designer for an on-site role in Karachi (7 PM to 4 AM, night shift), focused on designing user-centered web and app experiences, from wireframes to polished interfaces, in close collaboration with developers and the product/marketing team.​

Role Overview

• Position: UI/UX Designer (On-site, Night Shift: 7 PM – 4 AM, Karachi).​
• Focus: End-to-end product design for websites and web/mobile apps—research, UX flows, wireframes, UI design, and developer-ready assets.​
• Environment: Fast-paced digital agency working on global clients across web design, app development, SEO, and SMM, with a strong emphasis on usability and visual polish.​

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and refine user and business requirements with project managers, developers, and marketing/content teams for web and mobile products.​
• Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, sitemaps, and interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate interactions and journeys clearly.​
• Design responsive UI for websites, dashboards, and mobile apps (layouts, navigation, components, states) that align with brand guidelines and design systems.​
• Conduct or support user research and usability testing; interpret feedback/analytics to iterate on flows, layouts, and interactions.​
• Prepare developer-ready design specs, components, and assets, and collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation.​
• Stay updated on modern UI/UX patterns, design systems, accessibility basics, and relevant tools, and bring those learnings into ongoing projects.​

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a UI/UX or Product Designer with a portfolio showing web and app projects (flows, wireframes, UI screens, and prototypes).​
• Strong command of Figma for layouts, components, prototyping, and collaboration; working knowledge of Adobe XD or equivalent is a plus.​
• Solid understanding of UX fundamentals: user journeys, information architecture, usability, and interaction design.​
• Strong visual design skills: typography, grid systems, color, spacing, and hierarchy, with the ability to adapt to different brand aesthetics.​
• Comfort working with web-focused projects (landing pages, marketing sites, dashboards, e‑commerce, etc.) and responsive design for multiple breakpoints.​
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to present design rationale and work constructively with cross-functional teams in a night-shift setting.​

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Experience designing for WordPress/Shopify/Webflow-style systems or handoff familiarity with these ecosystems.​
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS concepts to better understand implementation constraints and communicate with developers.​
• Exposure to motion/prototyping micro-interactions (e.g., smart animate, simple transitions, or After Effects/Lottie handoff).​
• Experience with analytics tools or A/B testing to inform UX decisions; prior work in a digital agency or marketing-driven environment is a strong plus.​
