UI/UX Designer

Title: UI/UX Designer

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Timings: 10 AM – 7 PM

About TectSoft:

TectSoft is a Lahore-based software company building production mobile and web

applications for North American clients. We've shipped 50+ apps across health, fitness,

productivity, and lifestyle. Our designers work directly with founders and product teams in

the US and Canada, shaping products from first sketch to App Store launch. We're hiring a

UI/UX Designer who thinks like a product designer, someone who obsesses over how users

actually behave, not just how screens look.

The Role:

You'll own the user experience across multiple mobile and web products. That means

understanding the problem before opening Figma, mapping user flows, pressure- testing

assumptions, and designing interfaces that feel obvious in the hand. You'll work directly with

founders and the CEO to translate fuzzy product ideas into clear, shippable designs. This isn't

a "make it pretty" role. We need someone who pushes back when a flow doesn't make sense,

who asks "what is the user actually trying to do here?" before drawing a single rectangle.

What You'll Do:

  • Own end-to-end UX for mobile (iOS & Android) and web products, from problem

framing to final handoff

  • Map user flows, journeys, and information architecture before jumping to high fidelity

screens

  • Run usability reviews on existing apps and identify friction, confusion, and drop-off

points

  • Design intuitive, accessible interfaces that follow platform conventions (iOS HIG,

Material Design)

  • Build and maintain design systems, components, tokens, patterns, that scale across

products

  • Prototype interactions and micro-animations to communicate intent clearly to

engineers

  • Work directly with clients to refine raw ideas into clear product direction, asking the

right questions, surfacing assumptions, and translating vision into structured UX

  • Defend design decisions with reasoning grounded in user needs, not personal taste

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a portfolio of shipped mobile

and web products

  • Deep user experience instinct, you can articulate why a flow works or doesn't, and

you've made design decisions that measurably improved a product

  • Strong command of Figma (auto-layout, components, variants, design tokens)
  • Solid understanding of mobile design patterns on iOS and Android, and when to break

from them

  • Experience designing for real product constraints - small screens, edge cases, empty

states, error flows, loading states

  • Ability to design systems, not just screens - consistency, scalability, and reusability

matter

  • Strong communication skills with proven client-facing experience - you can sit on a

call with a founder, ask the right questions, refine half-formed ideas into clear

direction, and walk them through your reasoning in English

  • Comfortable in async settings - Slack, Loom walkthroughs, Figma comments, clear

written rationale

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with user research - interviews, usability testing, surveys
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, WCAG, dynamic type, contrast)
  • Motion design or prototyping in tools like Rive, Principle, or Figma's prototype mode
  • Comfort working alongside React Native engineers (understanding constraints,

handing off cleanly)

  • Experience designing for niche or sensitive categories (health, fitness, behavior

change)

Why TectSoft:

  • Work on real products with real users, not concept work or pitch decks
  • Direct collaboration with founders shaping the product from day one
  • Ownership over UX direction, not just execution of someone else's wireframes
  • A team that ships, your designs reach users in weeks, not quarters

,
