We're hiring a UI/UX Designer with strong Figma and motion design skills to design our web application, marketing pages, and product interfaces.

This is a fully remote position.

What You'll Design

Visit synapsescope.com to see our current work.

Product & Application UI

  • Dashboards showing leadership assessments, skill analytics, and candidate comparisons
  • Data visualizations: spectrum charts, skill gap analyses, mobility fit scores
  • Wireframes and prototypes in Figma for complex workflows
  • Design system components for consistency across the platform

Marketing & Web Pages

  • Landing pages and feature pages for enterprise buyers
  • Web content that explains complex platform capabilities clearly

Motion & Animation

  • Micro-interactions and subtle animations using LottieFiles
  • Animated data visualizations and feature explainers
  • Loading states and transitions
  • Note: This is not video production—we need purposeful motion design, not flashy effects

Ad Creative (Occasional)

  • LinkedIn and social media visuals
  • B2B ad assets for HR/talent acquisition audiences

Requirements

Must Have:

  • 3+ years designing for SaaS, enterprise software, or B2B products
  • Advanced Figma skills: components, auto-layout, prototyping, design systems
  • LottieFiles experience: creating and implementing motion assets
  • Portfolio with dashboard design, data visualization, or analytics interfaces
  • Strong information hierarchy and typography skills
  • Reliable internet and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have:

  • After Effects (for creating animations exported to Lottie)
  • Experience with HR tech or workforce analytics platforms
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
  • WCAG accessibility understanding

Do Not Apply If:

  • You haven't designed data-heavy interfaces or dashboards before
  • Your motion work is decorative rather than functional

Portfolio Requirements

Your portfolio must include:

  • SaaS or B2B product design – not consumer apps
  • Data-rich interfaces – dashboards, analytics, or complex information design
  • Motion/animation work – even small examples are fine

We will not consider applications without a portfolio link.

How We Work

  • Fully remote team
  • Async-friendly communication (Slack, Loom, Figma comments)
  • Direct collaboration with product and marketing leadership
  • Ownership over design decisions—not pixel-pushing from specs

To Apply

  • Submit your portfolio link (applications without portfolios will be ignored)
  • Name specific projects showing enterprise/SaaS product design—don't just link and expect us to find them
  • Include a specific example of your motion design work

Reminder: If shortlisted, your skills will be tested with a paid assignment. Only apply if you can actually do the work described above.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Expected hours: 40 per week

Application Question(s):

  • How many years have you designed for SaaS or enterprise B2B products specifically? (Consumer apps, e-commerce, and brand design do not count. Be honest—we will verify through your portfolio.)
  • Share your portfolio link. Name the specific project that best demonstrates your dashboard or data visualization work. What was your role, and what design decisions did you make?
  • Describe your LottieFiles or After Effects experience with a specific example. What animation did you create? What was it used for? Can you show it in your portfolio?
  • Have you built or maintained a design system in Figma? Describe one specific system you created or contributed to. How many components? How was it organized?
  • Walk us through your Figma prototyping process. What interactions have you built? (e.g., hover states, conditional logic, component variants, scroll animations)
