Responsibilities:
The Underwriting Analyst participates in underwriting accounts by gathering, synthesizing and clearly presenting all specific account information to underwriting to decide on the risk.

Learn underwriting practices by participating in formal and on-the-job training.

Develop a working knowledge of product language, underwriting practices, policies and guidelines.

Provide support to the UW team by gathering underwriting information to properly evaluate risks for acceptability within company guidelines.

Determine coverage and pricing options for routine risks for underwriters

Determine if a risk fits within the guidelines
-
Maintain quality and time standards as established.

Stay informed and knowledgeable about current industry issues and activities.

Draft quotes for underwriters based on individual risk characteristics

Issue quotes, declinations and other communications to brokers

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.

Strong organization skills.
-
Ability to manage deadlines effectively.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent math, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Applicable coursework toward attainment of a RPLU designation desired.

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role includes: Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
