We have an urgent requirement for Manager – Underwriting (Property & Casualty)-General Insurance domain for our client based in Qatar

Strong Experience in servicing existing corporate customers for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance products-- Must

Job Description

• Servicing existing corporate customers for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance products.
• Job includes underwriting of good quality risks in line with the assigned underwriting authority including arranging facultative reinsurance where required and review of policy & endorsement wordings & contracts, ensuring technical accuracy of all transactions within the department in line with treaty and facultative reinsurance conditions and operations &authorities manual, handling audit queries, tracking of timeliness of documentation flow, supporting digitization efforts of the business operations and MIS reporting.
• Scrutiny of underwriting proposals for all lines of Property and Commercial Risks (Property, Engineering, Casualty, General Accident).
• Assessment of risks and releasing quotations in line with the Company’s underwriting guidelines and reinsurance arrangement.
• Negotiate on premium and policy terms with Clients and Insurance Brokers.
• Responsible for achieving the individual as well as department objectives,
• Lead a team of Underwriting officers/Sr. Underwriting officers in providing active guidance and supervision on their day-to-day tasks.
• Ensure compliance to existing underwriting guidelines, processes and audit requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, tactful and ability to handle pressure should be the key qualities of the candidate.
• An ideal candidate should have excellent technical knowledge and proven leadership skills.
• Must have good analytical ability to understand and handle complex insurance programs
  
  

Educational and technical Qualifications:

• Engineering Graduate or Postgraduate in Science, Finance or Management
• Professional certification of ACII OR Diploma in Insurance OR FIII or AIII/CII certification. Experience:
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Insurance industry in underwriting Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines of corporate accounts
• Successfully handling of corporate accounts independently Technical Competencies:
• Good experience in dealing with brokers Internal
• Good Underwriting Technical & Marketing Skill
• Good knowledge of Insurance Products & Services
• Good experience in handling corporate accounts
