Uni K Wax- Wax Specialist

Position Summary:

At Uni K Wax, our Wax Specialists are more than service providers—they are brand ambassadors, responsible for delivering expert waxing services with warmth, precision, and professionalism. They uphold the standards of our proprietary ElastiK Wax™ technique and contribute to a studio environment rooted in cleanliness, comfort, and customer connection. Waxers are trained through Uni K Wax University and receive certification upon demonstrating mastery in technique, etiquette, hygiene, and customer care.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform full-body waxing services on all genders and age groups using the ElastiK Wax™ system, adhering strictly to Uni K Wax protocols.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment in the wax room and throughout the studio.Deliver exceptional customer experiences through consultative communication, service personalization, and professional etiquette.Use the Prescription Pad to record client needs and recommend return visits, services, and aftercare products.
• Support studio goals by promoting retail products, memberships (K Club/K Pack), and service add-ons in a natural and educational way.
• Engage in ongoing education through training modules, live assessments, and workshops to stay current in technique and customer care.

Daily Duties:

• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to shift to set up and review the day’s schedule.
• Maintain service times within established benchmarks while ensuring guest comfort and accuracy.
• Ensure all tools, surfaces, and linens are sanitized before and after every guest.
• Refill waxing supplies, clean wax pots, and dispose of waste following strict hygiene protocols.Record post-service notes and customer observations as required.
• Use and explain Uni K Wax’s retail products during service; submit recommendations to front desk team for each guest.
• Participate in studio meetings, KPI reviews, and brand growth activities.
• Follow all appearance, dress code, and studio professionalism standards (e.g., clean uniform, no fragrance, minimal jewelry).

Training & Certification:

• Completion of Uni K Wax’s 5-day certification program, including 14 hours of classroom and 28 hours of hands-on training.
• Ongoing training includes customer positioning, skin assessments, hygiene protocols, product knowledge, and marketing best practices.
• Continuous evaluation through video demonstrations, written assessments, and customer feedback.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid state esthetician, cosmetology, or waxing license.
• Completion of Uni K Wax University training and certification.Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.
