Unit Head – Digital Risk & Frauds (AVP / VP)

Our client , a leading Bank in Pakistan, is looking to hire an experienced Unit Head – Digital Risk & Frauds (AVP / VP) for its Digital Banking division.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Develop and implement Digital Banking Risk & Fraud Management frameworks across Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, APIs, and digital channels.

✔ Identify, assess, and monitor operational, transactional, and fraud risks associated with digital products and payment systems.

✔ Design and enhance fraud detection and prevention controls, including transaction monitoring, rule engines, behavioral analytics, velocity checks, and risk thresholds.

✔ Lead fraud investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementation of preventive controls.

✔ Monitor fraud trends, emerging threats, and evolving attack patterns to strengthen fraud prevention strategies.

✔ Conduct risk assessments for new digital products, APIs, fintech integrations, and third-party partnerships.

✔ Define and monitor fraud KPIs/KRIs, including fraud losses, incident volumes, response times, and control effectiveness.

✔ Collaborate with Digital Banking, Fraud Monitoring, Compliance, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure effective fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.

✔ Ensure compliance with SBP regulations related to Digital Banking, Payment Systems, and Fraud Risk Management.

Requirements

✅ Minimum 6 years of experience in Digital Banking, Operational Risk, Fraud Risk Management, Payment Systems, or Financial Crime Risk.

✅ At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.

✅ Strong understanding of Digital Banking fraud typologies, including phishing, SIM swap, account takeover, mule accounts, social engineering, and card-not-present fraud.

✅ Hands-on experience with fraud detection tools, transaction monitoring systems, rule engines, and behavioral analytics.

✅ Experience conducting digital risk assessments for products, APIs, and fintech integrations.

✅ Strong analytical, investigative, leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
