Unit Head Product MSME

Job Description:

Product Development and Innovation:

Design, continuously refine, and launch MSME loan products aligned with market needs and regulatory guidelines.

Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends / competitor analysis for competitive edge.

Develop product pricing, features, and lifecycle strategies.

Maintain transparency, ethics, and merit in product development and client interactions, adhering to the bank’s core values.

Portfolio Management & Innovation:

Monitor MSME product performance across branches and regions.

Analyze portfolio trends, risk metrics, and customer feedback to optimize offerings.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product sustainability

Drive digitization of MSME products through fintech and others partnerships / collaboration.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Leadership:

Collaborate with departments like Business/Credit, Compliance, Risk, DFI & Communication and Operations to deliver and launch products on time.

Work closely with IT team for system development, integration, and automation.

Drive product training, documentation, go-to-market plans, and field force enablement.

Regular coordination/meetings with internal and external stakeholders on issues / policy / process matters pertaining to Product department.

Provide periodic reports / data internal / external stakeholders;

Keep proper records of reports/correspondence ensuring safe custody and maintain day to day discipline as per approved policies & procedures of the bank.

Any other assignment given by the supervisor from time to time


Job Specifications:

5–8 years of experience in product development, preferably in MSME or microfinance banking.

Strong understanding of MSME sector dynamics, credit risk, and financial inclusion models.

Experience with digital financial services and alternate delivery channels is a plus

Minimum Bachelor's in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
