Unity Developer (Hybrid App · Unity + React Native Integration)

We’re building a character-centric mobile app where users interact with a living animated character inside a stylized 3D world. The app uses a hybrid architecture:
- React Native → app shell, navigation, onboarding, tools
- Unity → immersive experience layer (character, world, animation, voice)
- Backend → AI, voice, and lightweight state
This role focuses on Unity development + seamless React Native stitching for the MVP.What You’ll Be Working On
- Character animation system (idle, emotional states, reactions)
- Character movement & interaction inside a stylized world
- AI-driven interaction (text + voice playback, states)
- Visual progression (bond / liveliness bar, glow, animation tiers)
- Lightweight quest presentation (visual prompts, reactions)
- Embedding Unity as a view inside a React Native app
- Handling Unity React Native communication (events, lifecycle)
- Polishing transitions so the experience feels seamless
Responsibilities
- Own the Unity experience layer end-to-end
- Integrate provided modular character assets and environments
- Implement animation state machines and emotional feedback
- Consume backend APIs for AI chat, voice, progression, and quests
- Work with the RN team to embed Unity using native view integration
- Handle pause/resume when RN modals (e.g., doodle UI, journaling UI) appear
- Deliver a production-ready Unity build for iOS & Android
- Participate in basic QA and handoff documentation
Required Skills
- Strong Unity (C#) experience (mobile-focused)
- Experience with character animation systems (Animator / state machines)
- Comfortable integrating REST APIs in Unity
- Experience embedding Unity into native apps or hybrid apps
- Understanding of app lifecycle, pause/resume, audio handling
- Ability to collaborate with RN and backend developers
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with React Native Unity integration
- Experience with voice playback, and audio-driven animation
- Experience with modular character systems
- Shipped mobile apps or games
What This Role Is NOT
- Not responsible for backend development
- Not responsible for React Native UI implementation
- Not responsible for auth, payments, or analytics

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per week
