Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Part-Time Universal Banker to join our financial institution. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing exceptional banking services while promoting financial products and solutions. The Universal Banker will be responsible for delivering personalized service, managing transactions, and supporting the bank’s growth initiatives.
Duties
- Assist customers with a variety of banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and cash handling with accuracy and efficiency.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products such as loans, credit cards, and savings accounts through upselling techniques.
- Manage customer relationships by providing tailored financial advice and solutions to meet individual needs.
- Process loan applications, including origination and documentation, ensuring compliance with bank policies.
- Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions and adhering to security protocols.
- Conduct account maintenance tasks such as updating customer information and resolving account discrepancies.
- Utilize financial software for transaction processing, account management, and reporting.
- Maintain knowledge of banking regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
- Support sales initiatives by engaging in relationship management activities to deepen customer loyalty.
- Perform basic math calculations involving debits & credits, retail math, and cash management with precision using 10 key typing skills.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Proven experience in financial sales, upselling, and relationship management within a banking or retail environment.
- Knowledge of banking operations including cash handling, cashiering, loan processing, and fraud prevention/detection.
- Familiarity with financial software systems used for transaction processing and account management.
- Excellent math skills including basic math, retail math, debits & credits, cash management, and 10 key typing proficiency.
- Ability to perform accurate cash handling and reconcile accounts efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 29 – 35 per week
