Kamehameha School Maui campus is seeking a Regular, Full-Time Teacher at Large to support their Upper Division.
This role is ideal for candidates who:
Can adapt to a flexible work schedule (whether it's providing single-day or long-term coverage)
Can work across various grade levels and subject areas
Can ensure continuity of learning by maintaining a positive, productive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
Possess classroom management, adaptability, and instructional skills in dynamic settings.
Can collaborate with school staff and administrators for guidance and resources when needed.
Additional Information:
This position follows a Monday - Friday (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM) schedule with alternating bell schedules.
Compensation is determined by the highest degree earned and the number of full-time years of teaching experience.

Job Summary
The Teacher at Large is a regular, full time faculty member who serves primarily in their assigned school but could be assigned anywhere from K-12 as the need arises. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: substitute teaching (daily), covering teacher supervision duties, supporting students by providing one-on-one and small group tutoring, small group intervention and student support, assisting other teachers with instruction, assessments, grading and other classroom responsibilities, participating in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions, events, and trips, participating in school-based and campus-wide staff professional development activities, and other duties as assigned.

$61,111.00 - $160,818.00 AnnualCompensation and Benefits
Please note that the pay range for education staff is determined by several factors, including the length of the work year required for the position (9.75 – 11.5 months), the highest degree/educational credentials earned from an accredited institution, and the number of verified years of full-time, eligible, and relevant work experience. For reference, the lowest end of the scale applies to individuals with a Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 years of verified, full-time, eligible work experience. Conversely, the highest end of the range would apply to an individual with a Ph.D. and 22 years of verified, full-time, eligible experience.
