Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Present menus, recommend dishes and beverages, and upsell specials to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Manage tables efficiently by coordinating with kitchen staff and bussing as needed to maintain cleanliness and flow
• Must have prior knowledge of a classic Italian menu and also some prior knowledge of Wine.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and service
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with openTable or POS systems
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale settings
• Strong knowledge of TOAST
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while maintaining genuine guest interactions
• Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
