Job Title: Upwork Sales Specialist (Software Development & Design Industry)
Position Overview:We are seeking a results-driven Upwork Sales Specialist with a strong background in the software development and design industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage Upwork’s platform to identify, pitch, and close high-value projects aligned with our technical expertise. Your focus will be on sales conversion, client acquisition, and articulating our technical capabilities to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and bid on software development, SaaS, and IT projects (e.g., full-stack development, CRM integration, UI/UX design) that align with our technical services.
- Write tailored, compelling proposals that demonstrate deep understanding of client requirements, emphasizing tech stacks (e.g., MERN, MEAN, LAMP), CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and industry-specific tools (e.g., Jira, Figma, Azure).
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle on Upwork—from initial outreach to negotiation and closing deals—while maintaining a high win rate.
- Stay ahead of trends in software development, cloud solutions, and CRM ecosystems to position our services competitively.
- Partner with developers and designers to ensure proposals accurately reflect our capabilities and align with project scopes.
- Utilize CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and sales automation tools to track interactions, prioritize prospects, and streamline workflows.
- Meet/exceed monthly sales targets (e.g., proposals submitted, contracts won, revenue generated) with a focus on high-margin projects.
Requirements:
- 1+ years in sales/business development within the software development, SaaS, or IT services sector.
- Proven success winning projects on Upwork, specifically in IT/software categories.
- Familiarity with tech stacks, SDLC, and tools (e.g., Git, Docker, AWS) to craft credible, detailed proposals.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Trello).
- Ability to translate technical jargon into client-focused value propositions with flawless grammar/persuasion.
- Expertise in qualifying clients, analyzing project scopes, and tailoring pitches to decision-makers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in software development, QA, or product management (bonus for technical certifications).
- Experience selling custom AI solutions, ERP systems, or enterprise software.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
