To expand our global footprint, we are seeking a results-driven Upwork Sales Expert who can manage and scale our Upwork presence, generate high-quality leads, and convert them into long-term clients.
Role Overview
As an Upwork Sales Expert, you will be responsible for managing our Upwork account, identifying high-value opportunities, crafting winning proposals, and securing projects in web development, mobile apps, UI/UX design, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of generating revenue through Upwork and excels in client communication, negotiation, and sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Upwork Account Management
Manage and optimize Upwork Freelancer and Agency profiles.
Identify and bid on high-quality, relevant projects.
Optimize profiles, specialized profiles, and portfolios for maximum visibility.
Utilize Upwork tools such as Connects, Boosted Proposals, and Project Catalog.
Sales & Client Acquisition
Draft compelling proposals tailored to client requirements.
Convert leads into orders and long-term contracts.
Generate consistent monthly revenue through Upwork.
Upsell and cross-sell services such as web development, mobile app development, UI/UX design, and digital marketing.
Client Communication & Negotiation
Handle client inquiries professionally and maintain strong relationships.
Conduct discovery calls and negotiate pricing, scope, and timelines.
Ensure high client satisfaction and positive feedback ratings.
Growth & Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to scale Upwork revenue.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and platform updates.
Collaborate with internal teams (design, development, and marketing) for seamless project delivery.
Performance & Reporting
Track and report revenue, conversion rates, and proposal performance.
Maintain a structured pipeline of prospects and ongoing projects.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance marketplace growth.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience generating revenue through Upwork.
Strong expertise in proposal writing, bidding strategies, and client conversion.
Demonstrated success in selling digital services such as:
Web Development
Mobile App Development
UI/UX Design
Digital Marketing (SEO, PPC, SMM)
SaaS Solutions
ERP/CRM Development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and client management abilities.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing Upwork Agency accounts.
Top Rated, Top Rated Plus, or Expert-Vetted status on Upwork.
Experience working with software development agencies or digital marketing firms.
Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
Proficiency in AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) for proposal writing and lead generation.
Understanding of Agile development and software project lifecycles.
