Urdu Language Teacher

Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Urdu Language Teacher who is proficient in English to provide high-quality language instruction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills in both Urdu and English and be able to teach students of various ages and proficiency levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the curriculum objectives and student learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate dynamic and interactive Urdu language classes, incorporating a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and cultural exchange among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, program improvement, and assessment initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Native proficiency in Urdu language.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Urdu language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in teaching Urdu to adult non-native speakers, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies and strategies, including communicative language teaching (CLT) and proficiency-based instruction.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners and create a supportive learning environment.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Certification in Urdu language teaching (e.g., TESOL/TEFL certification with a focus on Urdu) is a plus.
