Job Title: Design Engineer – Fabrication Industry

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer is responsible for developing and preparing detailed fabrication drawings, 3D models, and design layouts based on project requirements. The role involves working closely with the production and quality teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Study project specifications, client requirements, and engineering standards to prepare accurate designs.
• Perform design calculations related to structures, sheet metal, and fabricated components.
• Modify and update existing drawings as per site or client changes.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure accuracy in material specifications.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure manufacturability and design feasibility.
• Work with the quality team to ensure design compliance with inspection standards and tolerances.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Skills Required:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and welding standards
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of structural and sheet metal design
• Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
