Role Summary
We are seeking a Urologist (Part Time Consultant) to join our growing multidisciplinary clinical team. The role focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of urological conditions commonly associated with metabolic health, diabetes, and men's health, including the delivery of low intensity shockwave therapy (Li SWT) where clinically appropriate.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with endocrinologists, cardiologists, dietitians, and other specialists to deliver holistic, integrated patient care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care:
- Provide outpatient urology consultations, assessments, and follow ups.
- Diagnose and manage urological conditions including, but not limited to:
- a) Erectile dysfunction
- b) Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS)
- c) Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- d) Male fertility and hormonal related urological issues
- Perform and supervise low intensity shockwave therapy (Li SWT) for erectile dysfunction and other approved indications, in line with clinical guidelines and GluCare protocols.
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patients' metabolic and overall health profiles.
- Prescribe medications and request diagnostic investigations as per DHA scope of practice.
2. Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with endocrinologists, cardiologists, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, patient centric care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
- Contribute to integrated care pathways for patients with diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
3. Quality, Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records within GluCare's EMR system.
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, clinical governance standards, and GluCare policies.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and ethical practice standards.
4. Patient Experience & Education:
- Deliver high quality, empathetic patient care with a strong focus on education and shared decision making.
- Educate patients on lifestyle factors, metabolic health, and treatment options related to urological conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Degree with specialization in Urology.
- Valid DHA Urologist license (Specialist and/or Consultant)
- UAE experience
- Experience in outpatient urology practice.
- Experience with shockwave therapy (Li SWT) is highly preferred; training can be considered for suitable candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: native English, Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work part time with flexible clinic hours.
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing urological conditions in patients with diabetes or metabolic syndrome.
- Interest in integrative, preventative, and lifestyle oriented care models.
- Familiarity with digital health tools and EMR systems.
