Best Bay Logistics™ is the one of the biggest names to provide various services under one roof, such as Transportation (both Drayage & TL), Freight Forwarding, Storage & Warehousing in US & Canada.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements and research any variances.
- Perform bookkeeping of various clients by verifying, allocating and posting transactions from bank statements, Invoices etc. through Bill.com/QBO/Netsuite.
- Reconciles bank accounts on a monthly basis, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash/bank reconciliations for multiple locations.
- Verifies invoice coding associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending improvements/efficiencies.
- Backup to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable-Assisting with 1099 sales rep and subcontract vendor onboarding and offboarding process.
- Assists with the annual financial audit.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MSWord and PowerPoint and Working Knowledge of different accounting software including QBO, Bill.com, Netsuite, Sage, SAP, Navision, and Tally
- Internationa accounting experience is a must prefferably U.S accounting.
