Autism Center of Excellence is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Specialist who has hands-on experience managing US payroll, HR compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have previously worked with a US company and is comfortable handling multi-state payroll, onboarding, and HR documentation independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process US bi-weekly payroll for W2 employees and 1099 contractors.
- Manage all new hire documentation, including W-4, I-9, direct deposit forms, and related paperwork.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding procedures for US employees.
- Maintain accurate HR and payroll records while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Administer employee benefits such as health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).
- Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and related summaries.
- Assist with performance review cycles, policy updates, and internal HR communication.
- Support management through HR reporting and compliance audits.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR and payroll for US-based companies (mandatory).
- Knowledge of US payroll laws, taxes, and compliance across multiple states.
- Experience using Gusto Payroll, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of W-2 and 1099 classifications.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working US business hours (EST).
- Proficient in Google Workspace / Excel / HRIS tools.

- Experience in healthcare, billing, or technology sectors.
- Knowledge of benefits administration and employee compliance.
