About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated US Tax Preparer with 1–2 years of experience in tax preparation and a basic understanding of accounting to join us immediately. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse tax returns while enhancing your skills in both taxation and accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in the US taxation field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals (Form 1040) and small businesses (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065).
- Collect, review, and organize client financial information and supporting documents.
- Use basic accounting knowledge to reconcile income, expenses, and balance sheet items for compliance.
- Stay updated with IRS rules and state tax regulations to ensure accurate filings.
- Identify tax deductions, credits, and strategies to optimize client outcomes.
- Assist senior professionals with tax planning and related projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients to clarify data, resolve queries, and provide support.
- Maintain organized records and safeguard confidential client information.
- Collaborate with team members to improve preparation processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of practical experience in US tax preparation.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts such as journal entries, trial balance, and financial statements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of tax software knowledge would be plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines during tax season.
- Good communication skills and client service orientation.
