Position Summary...

The Senior Quality Engineer at Walmart plays a critical role in designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive testing strategies to ensure product quality and compliance with business requirements. What you'll do...

About the team:
The Aspen Back-End team develops and maintains multiple back-end codebases supporting an internal analytics and configuration platform for Vizio’s Ad Tech Innovation group. This platform delivers configurable reports, queries, alerts, and audience segmentation while enabling various third-party integrations. The team prioritizes scalable, reliable solutions aligned with strategic goals and roadmap milestones. Collaborating across functions, they drive continuous improvement through effective project and stakeholder management. Leveraging expertise in cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and software product management, the team ensures high-quality delivery and operational excellence in all initiatives.
What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional and nonfunctional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective test objectives and plans.
  • Monitor project progress, report on quality metrics, and ensure adherence to testing schedules and standards.
  • Conduct integration, regression, and performance testing to validate system functionality and reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing quality enhancements.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in test design, automation, and execution within industry-standard frameworks and tools.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis, defect management, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks aligned with best practices.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into comprehensive test objectives and plans.
  • Knowledge of integration, system performance, security, and regression testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with program monitoring, continuous integration, and deployment processes.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to support cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Java/PHP experience would be helpful background but isn't as high of a priority.
  • Most important things we're looking for will be: experience with Postman or similar tools is highly desirable, experience writing automation tests, and experience writing test plans and doing manual testing, ideally for back-end projects.
  • Mastery of REST APIs and best practices.
  • Strong SQL experience, familiarity with relational and non-relational databases and best practices etc.
  • Strong experience with system integrations and related testing.
  • Familiarity with Docker and CI tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) Kubernetes and ephemeral environment experience nice to have.
  • Experience with at least one cloud computing platform (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.)
  • Familiarity with AI integrations - MCP development, LLM APIs, evals etc.

The annual salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $171,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
